Bucket list

Most people think of traveling to the sandy beaches of Hawaii or jumping out of a plane when they hear the term "bucket list". I recently lost someone very close to me and it had me thinking of all the things I want to do before its my time to go. Of course I want to travel the world, hike in the rockies, drink the best wine in Italy, and soak up the sun in Aruba. But, lets be honest, we are far to busy to do all of that right now with our kids and our jobs. But still, I felt like I wanted to challenge myself to try new things, so I decided I was going to make a list of food I have yet to cook/bake!

My list right now only consists of 11 recipes that I wish to complete, but I know I will add too my list as the years go on. My first on my bucket list is, apple pie!

Do not grease pie pan. Set oven to 375F.
Press pie crust firmly into pie pan and along edges, leave enough crust left over to put some on top. Spoon apple filling into pie pan. With left over crust, create any creative design you desire.
Place in oven for 40-45 minutes. Allow pie to rest for 30 minutes once it is baked.

For my first apple pie ever, I was very pleased with myself. I did set the bar high when I decided to cut out lots of little stars for the top (my husband told me I was crazy). The pie was gooey and delicious, especially when it was pair with some vanilla bean ice cream.

Stay tuned as I continue to complete all the
recipes on my bucket list!
